The Fort Collins Science Center is hiring a Biologist! This is a term appointment not to exceed 13 months with possible extensions up to a total of 4 years without further competition. Appointment to this position will not convey permanent status in the Federal service. Some of the Biologist's duties will include:
Working within a multi-disciplinary setting with the program staff, web application developers, data managers, applications users, and research scientists to improve online and in-person customer experience, management of monitoring data, and use of online resources;
Helping Partners establish long-term monitoring projects, select their NABat grid cells for monitoring, and contribute monitoring data;
Developing informative training materials and consistent program-related content for a variety of outlets including websites, online videos, printed fact sheets, and guidance documents;
Assisting with coordination and/or implementation of national and regional scale programs and projects related to the conservation of bat populations; and,
Conducting bat population field studies.
